im thinking about taking out a private student loan with wachovia for 30,000. I dont have good credit but my co-signer does so I should be good there, but if you do get accepted do they just give you a check for the full amount right away or break it up ? They dont send it to the school do they? Anyone with any experience in this ??? HELP!
Are there any international student loans where in it is not necessary to have a US citizen or permanent resident as a co-signor? Is there an option in such cases?
I have a very good credit score and would like to apply for a student loan, but all the companies don’t accept an international student without a cosigner. If I apply using my SSN pretrending being a citizen how the lender will find out I am not a citizen?
When they contact the university will they find out I am not a resident and cancel my application?

I live in Michigan (I do not know if this can make a difference) and my husband told me that they may not give me a student loan because of his past student loan that has yet to be paid (and as I have previously stated, about to go into default.)
