What happens to student loan debt in the United States if you become a citizen of another country?

I just wondered at this…would your student loans be forgiven? Since you would no longer reside in the United States, would this still affect you? Which country would be best when it comes to forgiveness of debts? Would a country deny you citizenship if you had student loans that you were paying off that weren’t paid off in full?
***NOTE TO POSTERS*** I am talking about if you were PAYING your loans, but they weren’t PAID IN FULL yet!

A course in statistics is one of the most difficult at the local university. Because of this, for the past decade the university has arranged for teaching assistants to hold frequent discussion sessions as part of the course. Since the inception of the discussion sessions, 55% of the students enrolled in the course regularly attended the sessions, and the other 45% did not. Students regularly attending the sessions have performed better than those not regularly attending. In particular, 70% of the students regularly attending the sessions received a grade of “B” or higher in the course, while only 40% of the students not regularly attending the sessions received a grade of “B” or higher in the course.

Let D denote the event that a randomly chosen student (enrolled in the course) regularly attended the discussion sessions, and let D_ denote the event that a randomly chosen student did not regularly attend the discussion sessions. Let B denote the event that a randomly chosen student received a grade of “B” or higher in the course, and let B_ denote the event that a randomly chosen student did not receive a grade of “B” or higher in the course.

Fill in the probabilities to complete the tree diagram below, and then answer the question that follows. Do not round any of your responses.

P(D)=.55
P(B|D)=.7

P(B_|D_)=.6

What are
P(B_|D)=
P(B|D_)=
P(D n B)=
P(D n B_)=
P(D_ n B)=
P(D_ n B_)=

What is the probability that a randomly chosen student received a grade of “B or higher in the course?

What are some ways that makes a student follow directions and learn to respect a teacher that they’ve never had before (right at the beginning of the school year)?

How do principals/administrators deal with challenging students whenever they are sent to the office for misconduct? What exactly do they say to them?

I’ve already applied to Discover, Sallie Mae, PNC, and Wells Fargo. Is that enough places? I wanted to apply around to get the best deal but applying for a student loan takes hours and the deadline for payment is in two weeks. Is four enough or should I try more?

I know a lot of colleges have a week or more dedicated to new student orientations. Aparently, it involves things like campus tours, help with registration, etc, and “social events” designed to build comraderie amongst new students and such. Can anyone give me examples of what kind of activities those might be? For those who are in college or have been, what did you do during orientation week?

Who would I actually be taking a loan from with a student loan? How do I go about getting/applying for a student loan and finding out how much financial aid I could receive?

Hi, everyone. I’m interested in both mechanical and electrical engineering and building things that can utilize both those engineering fields. What kinds of jobs could an electrical engineering student get after college?

I heard that a student can’t get a job as an engineer unless they have a certain degree. Is that true?

Thanks!

I’m a recent college graduate with a steady income and a student loan that is not in default. I’m looking to lease an apartment, and I heard that landlords are not allowed to count student loan debt against a person when evaluating their credit and debt. Is this true?

Okay, so I’m going to be a freshman soon and I was just wondering if I talk with my councelor before high school that I can be involved in a student exchange program for the whole school year in Europe. Is that possible? And about how much would it cost? Also, do you have to switch host families every few weeks or months? It would be very helpful if someone could answer all these questions for me. Thank you!

I am an academic junior (non-traditional student) who just returned to school after a long break. I work full-time and am taking an accelerated online degree program in Psychology. I intend to get at least one graduate degree in Psychology, but am very aware that good recommendation letters can make or break one’s chances at getting accepted into graduate programs. How does a student obtain these letters if they never have any face time in a classroom setting with a professor?
